CITI Training for CSU Students and Employees

Follow these instructions to register for and complete your human subjects research training through CITI Program. Access to CITI Program training is funded by the Provost’s Office, Office of Sponsored Programs, COLS, and COEHP.

NOTE: CITI Training under the Columbus State University organization affiliation is only available to Columbus State University faculty, students, and staff. Claiming affiliation to which one is not entitled may be considered fraud.

Please note that it may take 2-3 hours to complete the CITI training modules.

Registration

  1. Click on Register
  2. Under Select Your Organization Affiliation, enter Columbus State University in the field
    1. Check the Terms of Service box
    2. Check the I affirm box
  3. Click Continue to complete your CITI Username and Password
  4. Follow the prompts and enter appropriate information

CITI Course Enrollment Questions

  1. Q1 Leave blank, this is not needed for the IRB.
  2. Q2 Select Research Involving Human Subjects (RCR)

Complete the Training

  1. Complete the 11 required modules in the Research Involving Human Subjects (RCR) Basic Course
  2. Take the quiz at the end of each module
  3. Save a copy of your CITI training certificate for your records. CITI training certificates require renewal after three years.

CITI Training for Persons outside of CSU

CITI Program offers the RCR Basic course to independent learners for a fee.
